AM: Following breakfast at your hotel, we will go on a full-day trip to the east coast of the island. We will start with an excursion to the Akahanga Temple, and then visit the extinct Rano Raraku Volcano, followed by a stop at the quarry where moai statues were once made. After enjoying a picnic-style lunch, we will visit the Tongariki Ahu, which is the largest ahu (alter) in Polynesia, with its 15 restored statues. The tour continues with a visit to Te Pito Kura, a destroyed platform that contains the largest moai on Easter Island, though it is currently lying on the ground. On one side of this ahu is a large round stone known as the “Energy Rock,” given its special magnetism. After visiting the last platform of Ahu Nau Nau, we will finish our mystical journey on the beautiful Anakena Beach. You will then be driven back to your hotel to unwind and spend the night.
