AM: Early this morning, we will go on a full-day excursion to the Torres del Paine National Park (shared service). Along the way, you are likely to spot rheas, guanacos, Patagonian hare, and even condors. After crossing the Patagonian steppe while traveling north to south for a 2-1/2 hours, we will reach the Argentina-Chile border’s “Cancha Carrera” post. After crossing the border, we will travel through the beautiful Chilean south until reaching the Torres del Paine (meaning “Blue Towers” in the Tehuelche language, due to their predominant color). While in the park, keep your eyes peeled for wild guanacos roaming across the windswept plains. Other natural wonders that you will visit in this internationally celebrated park are Salto Grande, Laguna Amarga, Lago Pehoe, the Cuernos del Paine, and of course the famous Torres del Paine.
